Boys & Girls Club of Cheyenne is a 4x consecutive Youth of the Year State Champion? Yes, our kids are THAT awesome.
Youth of the Year is a scholarship program that recognizes youth who have been receptive to our leadership and gone above and beyond to overcome their life challenges. This program recognizes local members ages 14-18 who have promoted service to their Club, community and family and demonstrate exceptional moral character in the face of adversity. Youth of the Year helps foster personal growth, character and leadership skills. After competing at the local level, there is opportunity to continue in state, regional and national competition.
Similar to Youth of the Year, we also have a junior program for youth who are between the ages of 9 and 13. With the same ideals in mind, these candidates go through a similar application, interviewing and judging process.
We offer a nationally acclaimed ethics program that is founded upon simple, timeless principles often best demonstrated by the cowboy in the American West. Thanks to this program, our kids are learning how to be courageous, honest, hardworking citizens and why that grit and those standards are still important in our society today. This program is generously sponsored by Cheyenne Frontier Days.
