Rolinda Sample, IOM, CCE became the Chief Professional Officer of the Boys & Girls Club of Cheyenne in January 2009.
Previously, Sample served as Vice President of the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce for over five years, the Executive Director of the Laramie Wyoming Area Chamber of Commerce for seven years, Program Manager for the Norfolk Nebraska Area Chamber of Commerce for three years, and Executive Director for the Kimball Nebraska Hospital Foundation for three years.
Sample received the Certified Chamber Executive, CCE, designation in 2007. Sample is a graduate of Boys & Girls Club of America New Executive Orientation and Advanced Leadership Programs for Executives, Institutes for Organizational Management, and has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Peru State College in Nebraska. She is a graduate of Leadership Norfolk and Leadership Wyoming. She served as a Board member for the Boys & Girls Club of Cheyenne, President of Laramie Lions Club, President of the Wyoming Chamber of Commerce Executives, and on the Laramie County School District One Parent Advisory Council.
Sample currently is a Wyoming Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs board member, member of Rotary Club of Cheyenne and volunteers with United Way of Laramie County.
Bill Hassler - Bill Hassler is the Director of Operations for the Club. He became involved with the Club when his 9-
and 12- year-old-daughters joined the Club in 2011. He was hired as Director of Finance in
2013 and promoted to Director of Operations in 2014. He enjoys working with Club members as much as he can.
Bill was born and raised in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He is a Navy veteran and previously worked as
the COO for a small manufacturing business in Phoenix Arizona and office
manager for a local law firm. When he is
not at the Club he enjoys camping, outdoor activities and spending time with
Mollie is the Club's Office Manager and has been on staff since December 2005. She says, it has been challenging and eventful to see the Club progress with programs and fun educational activities for the members. She believes the Club's mission statement is truly inspiring -- to enable all young people, especially those who need us the most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Mollie grew up in a family of 7 sisters and 2 brothers and says it would have been wonderful to have a Club here in Cheyenne when she was a child.
She brings a diverse set of skills to her position as she has worked for the City of Cheyenne, managed a contract Post Office, managed/supervised a fulfillment, copy center and print room center, has worked as a human resources assistant, collections and child support enforcement, sales and volunteered at the VA Hospital. Her education includesLCCC – Secretarial Science Program, Resource Training Institute, Stepping Up To Leadership, Warehousing & Inventory Procedures and US Federal Postal procedures and regulations. Mollie's hobbies include collecting Swarovski crystal figurines and Seraphim angel figurines.
Chad was born in New York and raised in Wyoming. Being a mentor to kids has always been a significant part of his life. He has coached youth football for six years and has been a youth development professional since 2007 at the Boys & Girls Club of Cheyenne. He leads the games room and sports activities and takes the honor of being the "snack guru" seriously. His passions in life are family, kids, music, football and BMX racing.
Kalena Heil - Kalena joined the Club staff as Art Coordinator in 2013. She is excited about incorporating various art disciplines to the art program such as creative writing, photography and even yoga and cheer leading.
Baylie is the Resource Development and Marketing Coordinator at the Club. She has been with the Club since January of 2012. She works with donors and the community as a whole to raise money for Club programs and to raise awareness about what the Club offers. Baylie previously worked as a reporter at the Wyoming Tribune Eagle and doing marketing for the Cheyenne Animal Shelter. She now feels fortunate to be able to make a difference in the lives of kids.
Margie is the Club Director. She joined us in May of 2011 as the Education Coordinator at the Club. She brings six prior years of experience with families and children, and her training includes Child Development, Understanding ADHD, Positive Parenting, Cultural Diversity and Sensitivity and Growing Great Kids and Family. She hopes that her passion for performing arts, crafts, reading, laughter and fun can have a positive impact on the lives of our youth.
Lana Izatt is the Education Coordinator at the Club. She has experience with substitute teaching and as a Paraprofessional. She enjoys helping the kids with their homework, getting to know them and being there for them when they need someone to talk to. She also loves to play softball, go hiking and camping and playing with her dog, Luna.
Ron Summers is a bus driver with the Boys & Girls Club. He has driven school
buses, the Cheyenne Historic Trolley and a Cheyenne city bus. He is
happy to be able to to advance the mission of the Boys & Girls Club
and enjoys working with and for the kids. He also enjoys corresponding
with old friends and singing gospels in church.
Larry is a driver for after-school
transportation. He spent two years studying business and psychology,
eight years in military service, 33 years with Cheyenne Light, Fuel
& Power and, he says, six decades in life studies in the school of
hard knocks. Larry enjoys the daily opportunity to have a positive
impact on someone's life that he gets at the Boys & Girls Club. He
is also a grandfather, CFD volunteer, Toys for Tots volunteer and enjoys
hosting visiting sailors and dreaming of growing up to be a pirate.Jordan Allen
is a Program Assistant at the Club. He was born and raised in Cheyenne.
He graduated with a B.A. from the University of Wyoming. Before coming
to the Boys & Girls Club, he mentored at-risk teens at the FCS Youth
Amara Christenson is a Program Assistant at the Club. Ammy recently graduated with a degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Creative Arts. She worked with kindergarten and 6th grade reading during summer school 2012 and 2013.
is a Program Assistant at the Club. He has coached basketball at Sheridan College and NSI Academy. He is excited to provide a comfortable atmosphere for Club members as well as the tools they need to be successful in the classroom and in life. He enjoys playing and watching sports, studying economics and business, spending time with family and being outdoors.
is a Program Assistant at the Club. She has been a summer camp counselor, nanny, tutor and pre-service teacher. She enjoys working and interacting with the kids doing crafts, workshops and throughout their regular daily activities. Erica also enjoys sewing, doing crafts, performing in the LCCC wind ensemble and volunteering.
Darnell Wheeler is a Program Assistant at the Club and a Boys & Girls Club of Cheyenne alumnus. He is originally from New Orleans. He enjoys working at the Club because he gets to help students pursue a better future. He also enjoys running and traveling.
